Our origin & goals.

Established in 2021

Welcome to the website of Autonomous Mobility and Perception Lab, AMPL,  from Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (UC3M), located at its Polytechnic School in Leganés, Madrid, Spain.

AMPL research group has just been founded in 2021 to conduct multidisciplinary research and development activities in the area of advanced perception applications and self-driving systems. The group consists of professors and post-/under- graduate students.

Our Goal

AMPL members have been researching on topics related to intelligent vehicles for more than 14 years. During which several systems have been developed in the field of perception technologies and intelligent systems. Research topics include computer vision systems, intelligent transport systems, self driving systems, data fusion and more.

​Currently the laboratory has different research platforms, which includes electric self driving vehicle and several drones. The research group is funded by and included in several public and private projects, national and international projects.
