Brief Bio
Jesús Urdiales de la Parra received the Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Electronics and Automation Engineering from Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, Spain, in 2016. He received his M.Sc. Degree in Industrial Engineering in Carlos III University in 2018.
His research interests are related to computer vision, intelligent transport systems and the Android environment. In the field of computer vision he has worked mostly with the OpenCV library on PC and Android. He has been working in the project FERRODRON (a project to develop a light train vehicle, able to move over train tracks to perform automatic inspection, maintenance and surveillance tasks).
He is currently starting his Phd. His main research lines are related to tracking algorithms and intelligent systems.

Projects
- Ferrodron: automated maintenance drone for railways tracks. Funded by Ministerio de Economía y Competitividad 2015 - 2017.
- Bachelor's Thesis: development of a road safety application based on Android. The application is able to detect and track pedestrians and cars, using the camera and the accelerometer of a smartphone and a Kalman Filter.
- Master's thesis: development of a tracking system for autonomous vehicles.
